I personally would go with the upper with the M4 ramps. But the one without the ramps would work fine.
M4 Cut Upper +M4 Extension = Great
Rifle Cut Upper (non-M4) + M4 Extension = works fine
M4 cut upper + Non M4 cut extension = jams (the bullet will catch on the extension)
