Can I put my laptop's ram into another laptop?
I want to put more ram into my computer, since I use it for gaming (but i'm saving up for better one lol it kinda sucks)
So i wanna put a PC2-5300 200-PIN SODIMM RAM into my compaq presario cq60-410us, which has pc26400 200-pin SODIMM RAM
I am asking this because my friend did this too, just with different laptops.
it would work,but the ram you want to put in is actually slower than the ram that is in there,there isn't really that much of a performance difference,and both speeds will work with that computer.you will still see a performance boost by adding ram,just not as much as you would get with faster ram.
