Computer repair problems?

I have a Hp Pavilion CTO Notebook PC Dv6000 and I have sent my laptop in to hp twice in a year because the system board keeps failing. Is there something I can do so this doesn't happen or is my computer just a piece. I generally leave my laptop either on or in sleep mode most of the time.

Leaving a laptop running all the time can make them overheat. I suggest you invest in a cooling pad to place it on when you have it running. If you like to work with it on your lap and not on a desk, make sure you are not blocking any of the cooling ports on the bottom.
