Dell's 3000cn Workgroup Printer - Dependable Performance For Outstanding Productivity
A color laser ideal for a small network is the Dell 3000cn printer. It comes with the highest quality Dell Laser 3000cn replacement toners, which any office can take advantage of to produce professional-looking documents. While carrying with it quality performance, operating this machine is relatively hassle-free. Likewise, an office that's budget-conscious will find its affordable price to be a huge advantage.
Its form factor allows it to be placed on a desktop or just about any available surface capable of supporting its weight of 53 pounds. But because of this weight, moving it from spot to spot may be impractical. It measures 16.7 inches x 16.5 inches x 17 inches (W x D x H). Choosing a printer matching the furnishings of an office is important to maintain a cohesive look. Fortunately, it's available in midnight gray and ion silver that can go well with most other colors and furnishings.
Within it is a processor with a 300 MHz speed. It's capable of churning out 25 pages every minute (black and white) and 5 pages per minute (colored). From the box, it comes installed with a memory amounting to 64 MB. But because there's an expansion slot, the memory may be expanded to as much as 576 MB. This machine also has a four-cartridge ink system - 2K black, 1K magenta, 1K yellow and 1K cyan. For optimum performance, Dell set its duty cycle per month to 20,000-49,999 pages. Duty volume per month is at 45,000 pages, making it ideal for a small network of PCs.
Up to 900 sheets can be handled by this machine at a time, for both input and output. A variety of media sizes can be used: letter, legal, folio, executive, statement, JIS-B5, A4 and A5. Media types supported include: regular paper, coated, cards, transparencies, envelopes, etc. For back-and-front printing, there's an optional duplex available. Such allows for conservation of paper and meeting increased output demands.
Hooking up this machine to the office network is hassle-free with the available 10/100 BaseT Ethernet port. Additionally, there are other connectivity options such as high-speed USB 2.0 and parallel IEEE1284 for easy attaching to a PC. With the Dell Printer Web Tool, an administrator can setup, install and configure the machine right away. Since it's a web-based tool, internet hookup is necessary to be able to use it.
There are two more functional tools found on this machine. The Dell Laser Toner Management System allows for effective toner monitoring, as well as other consumables. One of the things it can do is alert the administrator by sending an e-mail when the toner runs low or goes empty. Ordering of replacement is also facilitated online. The Color Track Tool makes it possible to attain lower printing costs by assigning cost-effective machine-use conditions to a PC or the network.

my computer slows down everyday.....its the family comp so many people are using it...but i defrag and clean it frequently...but it still runs slowly
its a 40 GB hard drive with 16 GB free memory...

Do a THOROUGH virus and spyware scan first of your entire computer first. If it's still slow, press CTRL+ALT+DEL and look in the processes tab to see how many programs you have running in the program. Some common programs are memory hogs (Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, WinAmp, ITunes), so if you're not using them, end their processes (make sure you know what you're doing; don't just end any process). Another is to look in your 'Startup' folder and make sure you don't have a lot of programs running on startup. Finally, if that all fails, add more memory.
On a side note, you have 16 GB free HD space, not memory. Memory refers to RAM (random access memory). gl
