Deliver Color To Your Professional Documents With Samsung's 600 Laser Printer
The Samsung CLP 600 printer is an affordable laser printer ideal for those wishing to print with colored or monochrome CLP 600 replacement toner. It comes with varying interface types that allows for easy personal or workgroup usage. Media handling capacity is upgradeable to meet increased workload in the future. Fast, reliable and simple to operate, it's suitable for installation at home, in the office, or in any busy work environment.
Within its ivory-colored enclosure is a powerful 250MHz MIPS (microprocessor without interlocked piped stages) powerhouse. This enables the unit to produce 20 to 21 pages every minute. Such performance speed is maintained for both colored and black-and-white printing tasks. A standard 32MB RAM is installed upon purchase. Although it's not expandable, it's just the right capacity for day-to-day printing needs.
Printing resolution used is a maximum of 2400 x 600 dots per inch, allowing for consistent and clear output. Texts end up sharp and readable and images produced are detailed. That's why it's ideal for coming up with professional-looking printouts, like charts, reports, presentations, and other documents with text and images on them. Nothing is compromised despite of the unit's simple operation requirement.
It has a 350-sheet media input capacity, thanks to the 250-sheet and 100-sheet media feeders available. With such, you can do more tasks in the workplace as the need for constant refilling of paper is eliminated. But in case your productivity demands increase in the future, fret not. An additional media tray (sold separately) may be attached to the CLP 600. With this addition, your total media input capacity is brought up to as much as 850 sheets.
Flexibility is achieved as there are an assortment of media types and sizes supported. Regular bond, labels, card stocks, envelopes, and even transparencies and photographic paper for laser printers can be handled. When it comes to media sizes, it can work on anything from as small as 3.5 inches x 5.5 inches to as large as 8.5 inches x 14 inches. This means it can handle printing on letter, legal, executive and custom sizes.
Hooking it up for use by a single computer or within a workgroup is hassle-free. A high-speed USB 2.0 port allows for simple installation to a computer. It also comes with an Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX interface so it may be shared by an office workgroup. This laser printer uses a four-color toner system. Upon purchase, Samsung replacement toner installed are black, cyan, magenta and yellow - each capable of yielding up to 2000 pages.
Simple operation is facilitated by an equally simple design and an LCD for showing menus, functions and printer messages. While a manual duplex task is possible, there's no support available for auto-duplexing for automatic double-sided printing. Monthly duty cycle is set by Samsung at 45000 pages. Meeting this optimizes the unit's performance as well as the use of consumables.
The Samsung CLP 600 printer has an enclosure which measures 18.3" (width) x 18.3" (depth) x 17.9" (height) and weighs 62.8 lb. Although it has basic functionality and affordable CLP 600 toners, its ability to produce home and office printouts with professional quality is something not to overlook. This colored and black-and-white laser printer's media input capacity can be expanded to match your increasing output needs in the future.
Is there anything I can attach to the RJ-45 port on my Ethernet card in order to make it a wireless adapter?
I have a PC running Windows XP with an Ethernet card in it. I want this PC to be able to participate in a wireless network in my apartment complex. Is there a device I can plug into the RJ-45 port on the Ethernet card to make it work in a wireless network? Yes, I do know the alternatives: Attach an USB wireless adapter to a USB port (mine are all consumed) or install a PCI wireless adapter (many issues in my particular situation). Thank you for a detailed answer if you know of a solution.
Wireless access point, they look like routers but only have on port to plug in the back, run cable from AP to nic card and there you have it, but remember, the setup is tricky, especially on a linksys
Rebuilding a Mac SE as a server again (Hackaday)
Around this time last year, [Sprite_TM] took a 1980′s-era Macintosh SE and
rebuilt it as a home file server. He used a Seagate Dockstar as the new
motherboard, but over the past year he's been annoyed with the fact that the
Dockstar doesn't have real SATA ports. Using USB to SATA converters on a
